C&Cie Consulting
We met the team of C&Cie, the new environmental policy consultancy!
Félix Caron and Audrey Chevalier have just launched C&Cie, an original initiative aimed at combining the sustainable use of natural resources and associated governance measures. They rely on a socio-ecosystemic approach and the concept of "One Health," which aims to develop coordinated and interdisciplinary interactions concerning health at the interface between animals, humans, and ecosystems.
C&Cie, this name symbolizes both the identity of the two entrepreneurs and their attachment to the sea (pronounced Sea&Sea). Indeed, they met during their fisheries engineering training in Rennes.
Audrey grew up in the Indian Ocean and, with a veterinary background, is involved in biodiversity conservation issues. She is currently working in Senegal to limit the environmental impacts of an offshore maritime construction project. Félix, on the other hand, grew up on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. He chose to complement his expertise in the marine environment with a political science curriculum in Paris.
"We take actions for efficient and integrated sustainability"
Their common passion for environmental policies and management has reinforced their commitment to developing this brand-new consultancy with the goal of integrating science more effectively into decision-making processes. Their activities span both public and private sectors, thanks to their diverse and complementary skills that they can support as needed through their adapted legal structure.
Although they have an affinity for the marine environment, they are interested in various areas related to sustainability governance.
They will soon publish an article for the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) on the involvement of fishing in biodiversity conservation bodies. In this context, C&Cie is involved in organizing an event in cooperation with the University of Guyana, WWF-Guyana, Crpmem Guyana, and IFREMER.
